There are many visual options to choose from in website design. Some of these include tables, applets, rollover images, animated gifs, background colors and/or images, photos, and clip art. As a general rule, the more images you have on a page, the slower that page is to appear on the visitors screen, so images should be used with discretion and purpose. The same is true with applets and other special effects.

Navigation options can include simple navigation bars, rollover buttons, frames, jump menus, anchors, or ordinary text hyperlinks.

Choice options are similar to navigation options, but can also include some forms of feedback options such as list menus, check boxes, and radio buttons.

Feedback options are used in form submission, allowing the visitor to provide you with information expressing their area of interest as well as personal information. These can include many of the above options as well as text panels in which information can be typed to be sent to you.
